The Role:

As the Trade Marketing Director, you will be instrumental in supporting a powerful sales force, streamlining operations, and driving store-level execution. You'll lead the development and implementation of trade marketing strategies, oversee sales programs and promotional calendars, and ensure strong in-store execution through effective merchandising. This role requires close collaboration with sales, product marketing, and operations teams to achieve seamless execution and drive key performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement trade marketing strategies aligned with sales objectives, manage budgets, and oversee sales programs and promotional calendars.

  • Sales Force Support: Provide strong support to the sales team by organizing resources, developing sales materials, and monitoring key initiatives to ensure accountability.

  • Merchandising & Store Setup: Lead store setup and merchandising strategies, design effective planograms, and monitor in-store performance to drive visibility and sales.

  • Data & Reporting: Leverage Business Intelligence (BI) tools to analyze sales, retail, and consumer data, measure program effectiveness, and report insights to leadership.

  • Project Management & Coordination: Manage and prioritize multiple projects, develop project plans, and track progress to ensure deadlines are met with accuracy and efficiency.

What You'll Bring:

  • Experience: 6+ years in trade marketing, brand marketing, or sales support within the consumer goods industry (FMCG preferred), with proven experience in merchandising strategy and sales team support.

  • Skills: Strong proficiency in Excel (advanced data analysis), advanced PowerPoint, and experience with task management/project planning tools. Proficient in using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to generate actionable insights.

  • Attributes: Highly organized, detail-oriented, excellent communication skills, patient, adaptable, and a strategic thinker capable of driving results in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience in a fast-growing company or startup.

  • Familiarity with retail management software and e-commerce trade marketing.

  • Experience with advanced data visualization using BI platforms.
