Their LatAm business is the fastest-growing division, already at scale (£200m+ revenue) and highly profitable (£100m+ EBITDA). Their business today is primarily focused on Brazil, yet aimed to also expand across Spanish LatAm in the medium term. They currently have offices in Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, London, Lisbon, Barcelona, Montevideo, and Tel Aviv.


Position Overview: 

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to oversee financial operations in Iberia and provide support for our Brazil business. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, manage financial reporting, and support strategic financial planning and analysis.


Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management and Operations (Iberia):
  • Oversee and manage all financial operations within the Iberia region.
  • Prepare and review financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local accounting standards.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, procurement and financial planning processes.
  • Monitor financial performance, analyse variances, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
  • Evaluate ROI of Marketing investments and manage expenses control.
  • Engage with stakeholders and internal clients aiming cost avoidance and synergies.
  • Standardize reports and procedures with other regions.

Support Brazil Business Migration:
  • Establish new process in Brazil aligned with regulation requirements.
  • Interact with Payments Providers to align new processes and solutions in the regulated market.
  • Management of local accounting and tax firms to ensure compliance and a streamlined process.
  • Relationship with Finance Institutions to find best solutions for bank accounts and investments.
  • Intermediate the conversations between internal global team and local stakeholders to satisfy both needs.
  • Migrate all contracts for the new legal entity ensuring compliance and tax efficiency.

Regulatory Compliance:
  • Stay up-to-date with local regulations and accounting standards in both Iberia and Brazil.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, including tax, audit, and reporting requirements.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory filings and reports as required.
Strategic Financial Planning:
  • Contribute to the development of financial strategies to support business growth and profitability.
  • Conduct financial analysis and modeling to support strategic initiatives and investment decisions.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Finance Manager or similar role, preferably in newly established companies.
  • At least 8 years of experience in finance, accounting or related, with proven experience leading teams.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
  • Strong knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, regulatory compliance and Brazilian tax rules.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems, preferably Oracle.


This position is to work remotely in Brazil.
