Position overview
The Associate Trade Show & Trade Marketing Manager will be responsible for owning ALP’s full trade show program, executing world-class brand presence at national and regional events, and supporting trade marketing operations across the business. This role ensures that ALP shows up professionally and consistently at every major industry function - including TPE, CHAMPS, ASD, NACS, 7-Eleven FOAs, McLane Engage, and regional shows.
In addition, this role will support the Director of Trade Marketing with data analytics, reporting, POS execution, and cross-functional coordination to ensure all trade programs and sales initiatives are delivered on time and to brand standard.

In addition, this role will support the Director of Trade Marketing with data analytics, reporting, POS execution, and cross-functional coordination to ensure all trade programs and sales initiatives are delivered on time and to brand standard.
Core responsibilities
1. Trade Show Management & Execution
- Own end-to-end planning, execution, and on-site management for all ALP trade shows and events.
- Attend every trade show, serving as the operational lead for booth setup, teardown, and show-day coordination.
- Manage show registrations, vendor payments, travel arrangements, and show logistics.
- Coordinate procurement, shipping, tracking, and inventory control of all booth assets, fixtures, displays, samples, collateral, and POS items.
- Ensure booth quality and cleanliness throughout each event; proactively handle issues to maintain a premium brand experience.
- Partner with Trade Marketing Director and Sales leadership on:
- Deal structures
- Show-only promotions
- TPB collaboration
- POS systems and on-floor order-taking workflows
- Manage on-site staff coordination, booth schedules, inventory replenishment, product sample management, and post-show reporting.
- Maintain a detailed annual trade show calendar, budget, and compliance with event deadlines.
2. Vendor & Logistics Management
- Build and maintain relationships with external vendors, including:
- Booth fabrication companies
- Freight/shipping providers
- Printing vendors
- Supply chain partners
- Sampling and promotional item suppliers
- Ensure all materials meet brand standards and arrive on time, fully QC’d before shows.
- Negotiate vendor pricing for booth production, rentals, display builds, storage, and show services.
- Track, store, and maintain booth assets so they remain in good condition between shows.
3. Data, Analytics & Presentation Support
- Support the Director of Trade Marketing in preparing high-quality:
- Sales decks
- ROI analyses
- Post-show recaps
- Routine business reviews
- Distributor/chain presentation materials
- Aggregate and clean data across chains, wholesalers, and distributors to deliver accurate insights to leadership.
- Support reporting on:
- SKU velocity
- Volume trends
- Promo lifts
- Segment/chain/channel performance
- Event performance KPIs (traffic, orders, leads, CAC equivalent)
- Provide structured lead capture files and coordinate post-show lead follow-ups with Sales teams.
4. POS (Point-of-Sale) Material Management
- Own the full lifecycle of ALP POS materials including racks, signage, tent cards, sampling baskets, counter mats, channel strips, and custom items.
- Maintain the POS inventory system; ensure stock levels are healthy and reorder proactively.
- Coordinate with:
- Creative (artwork, brand consistency)
- Production suppliers (quoting, lead times)
- Sales & Customers (fulfillment, shipping, tracking)
- Create and manage a POS catalog and request process for internal teams and customers.
- Support custom POS requests for trade shows or key accounts.
5. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Serve as the operational connector across Sales, Trade Marketing, Creative, Supply Chain, and Finance.
- Ensure alignment on:
- Promotional calendars
- Timing for new product launches
- Distribution of samples & POS
- Booth design and brand guidelines
- Chain program execution
- Maintain shared project trackers and ensure deadlines are met across teams.
- Support communication of trade marketing priorities company-wide.
6. Financial Management & Budget Tracking
- Manage budget planning and spend tracking for: Trade show costs, POS production, freight/logistics, and vendor invoices and prepayments
- Ensure all invoices are accurate and routed through Finance for timely payment.
- Track ROI per show to guide future investment levels and booth strategy.
