Role Overview: Senior Director of Operations (Lior’s Right-Hand)

This is an execution-heavy, high-accountability role working directly with the Head of Operations to ensure Job Engine’s operations are flawless, bulletproof, and high-velocity. You own operational execution—driving projects forward, eliminating blockers, and ensuring no detail slips through the cracks.

This is not a "build processes from scratch" role—this is get things done at the highest level of precision and execution. You will be the firewall preventing mistakes, enforcing accountability, and ensuring flawless delivery across operations.

Success = Jobs move forward. No mistakes. We are never caught off guard.


Responsibilities

1. Execution & Accountability (No Excuses, No Gaps)

  • Own the operational execution of key functions, ensuring everything moves forward on time, without errors.
  • Solve problems before they happen—identify potential issues and handle them before they become a problem.
  • Push, escalate, drive—ensure teams meet deadlines, follow up aggressively, and eliminate blockers.
  • Never allow a dropped ball—follow through on every detail until it is 100% resolved.

2. Bulletproof Operations & Risk Management

  • Your job is defense—ensure we never make mistakes that will get us in trouble.
  • Make sure we are never surprised—track issues, flag risks early, and ensure all teams operate with extreme clarity.
  • Keep the Head of Operations fully informed—if something goes wrong, he should already know about it and what’s being done.

3. Asana Mastery & Operational Precision

  • Every Asana comment is bulletproof:
    • "Why is this delayed?" (Clear, complete answer)
    • "What are we doing to fix it?" (Specific, proactive actions)
    • "Have we done everything possible?" (Yes.)
  • No vague updates, no surprises, no excuses—everything is trackable, auditable, and crystal clear.
  • Ensure the PC team operates at 100% accountability, with no loose ends.

4. Driving Progress & Keeping the Machine Running

  • Ensure operations move forward at high velocity—no stagnation, no delays.
  • Track every detail, chase every follow-up, and ensure all stakeholders are aligned.
  • Hold teams accountable for execution—we do not wait on people, we drive them.
  • Push for constant improvement—eliminate inefficiencies, refine workflows, and tighten execution.

Qualifications

  • Elite operational execution skills—you thrive in high-pressure environments where everything must move forward flawlessly.
  • Extreme attention to detail—you spot errors before they happen and ensure nothing slips through.
  • High urgency, high ownership—you don’t wait for direction, you drive progress relentlessly.
  • Proven track record of operational excellence in fast-paced environments (construction, solar, logistics, or similar preferred).
  • Highly proficient with Asana and structured project tracking—must be able to audit, track, and push execution.
  • Clear, direct, and concise communicator—this is a no-fluff, results-driven role.

  • Remote-first, occasional in-person work (SF/LA preferred but flexible)
  • Reports directly to Lior (Co-Founder, Head of Operations)
